Palmer Joy Biaña, also known as Pam is from Tangub City, Misamis Occidental but she is now residing in Cebu City with her family. She studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at the University of Cebu – Main Campus.

She had her first job as a part-time office clerk at an Accounting Firm when she was still in college and has worked several jobs since then.

Before joining Naxum, she was a Marketing Fulfillment Officer and a Campaign Manager at a self-publishing company. She manages her assigned authors’ accounts and is responsible for overseeing the marketing of their books through social media and offline book fair events.

She joined NaXum in October 2020 as a Client Champion handling several live and in-production clients before she jumped to her current seat as a Commissions Technical Production Manager last October 2021.

As a Commissions TPM, Pam is accountable for the approval of the Commission team’s user stories and NDD output according to the client’s platform requirements and expected behavior. She is also responsible for managing the Commission team’s Production Scrum Board backlog section ensuring that each team member’s backlog is never empty.

Hey Team! I’m Ren and I am the Chief of Client Champions at Naxum.

I hold a degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Holy Child College of Davao. Since I was little I was always fascinated to be in the IT world. Being able to be a part of the Naxum family is not about figuring out what I want to accomplish but it’s figuring out what I can accomplish. My job is to ensure that all client queries are: entertained, resolved and taken care of. We are entitled as the protectors of our development team and process, and the divine business bridge that connects our clients/subscribers to our developers.

I love what I do because it gives me a feeling of satisfaction whenever I am able to help in addressing the client’s concerns and need to shift an effort to create solutions. Because winning the heart of the client is my happiness and motivation.

I am Amabel Mae Buro, a Communications major at Cebu Normal University. I have worked various jobs before I was introduced to NaXum. I was a production staff for events and concerts, where I did administrative and field work. Before this, I was a screenwriter, segment producer, and technical director at a local news and media outlet here in the Philippines. I also worked with a government agency in charge of checking and monitoring administrative oversight.

My work experience involves a lot of different skills set everytime. And I take pride in my ability to be adaptable with the environments I have chosen to immerse myself in. I set no limit for myself so long as it is with a community that allows me to thrive and grow as an individual, and as a part of a team. I am Sam Salako, a versatile Client WOW Manager. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Ichthyology from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria, one of the most reputable Federal Universities in the country. This is where I also held the position of the Chess Club President due to my commitment and chess strength. This gave me an early insight on how to manage people from different backgrounds. As a Client WOW Manager, I love exceeding client’s expectations and giving them an experience to remember. I love communication as I feel it is vital in making progress in all aspects of life and also getting along with people. I have a background in Graphic design which helps me effortlessly understand the user interface (UI) requirements of clients for their platforms. I’ve found myself gravitating towards client relations/management in the last couple years because I have a knack for being resourceful and solving problems, hence, my reason for becoming a Client WOW Manager.

Rosemay Romero is a Department of Science and Technology scholar and a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Saint La Salle – Bacolod. She started her career as a Production QA Engineer in a Japanese Manufacturing Company in Cebu. She focused on quality assurance and system improvement for ten years in the electronics manufacturing industry.

In 2020, she joined NaXum as a client champ handling launched and in-production clients ensuring a WOW service is provided to the clients. After 6 months, she was promoted to a NaXum Operating System (NOS) Production Manager position. A year later, she jumped to Coretech Technical Production Manager (TPM).

As the Coretech TPM, she is in charge of the Coretech team production including finalizing user stories, ensuring production is flowing, and conducting quality assurance on our engineer’s output before it is delivered to the clients.

Rose’s favorite core value is the Kaizen or the Constant and Never Ending Improvement. She believes that life is a learning process and that no matter what we have accomplished, there is something more to learn. She doesn’t settle for what is good because she believes that there will always be room for improvement so we need to always aim for the best.

Rose is also a pet lover. Their family has three dogs which they treat as part of the family. She also loves gardening. In fact, she has a small garden in her front yard. This serves as her exercise in the morning so it makes her active at the same time it gives her fresh vegetable supplies.

Sheena Monera was born and raised in Isabel Leyte and is the eldest of three siblings. She studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology but had to stop after three years due to financial challenges. With this, she decided to take up a short course in TESDA for Call Center Services in 2012. Shortly after that she then landed her first work as a call center agent in one of the BPO companies in Cebu City.

Sheena since then has been living self-sufficiently in Cebu and has been working in the BPO industry for twelve years. She has been to different companies and she has consistently received multiple awards and recognitions for her excellence in promoting positivity both in her personal and professional life. As the breadwinner of the family, she was able to support her family and helped her siblings finish their studies as a theologian and professional welder.

In 2018, she gave birth to her second daughter and quite soon enough got sick due to meningitis. With this, Sheena then decided to shift to a job that has a work-from-home setup. When COVID-19 struck, she and her partner decided to move to Ozamis City in Misamis Occidental to balance and juggle her responsibilities as a mother of two toddlers and as a working mom at home. As soon as the pandemic ended, she was then required to go back to Cebu and work on-site. Due to the difficulty of leaving the family behind to work back in Cebu, Sheena then decided, after more than a decade of working as a call center agent to take the risk and move out of her comfort zone.

February 2023 when Sheena was then introduced and referred by her good friend Rhena to Naxum. Sheena realized that giving herself a fresh start and a new beginning to be in a new environment with a different culture will give her a chance to seek goals for herself which she has been set aside due to responsibilities with her family. She strongly believed that Naxum helped her to realize that she does have that greatness within her and that it renewed her mind toward finding her higher purpose.

Sheena is a musically inclined person and when she has free time, she usually does Karaoke and sings different genres of songs depending on her mood. I’m Chariss Bañanola and I’m one of the Client Champs at Naxum. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Davao. I wanted to be a journalist or take up entrepreneurial courses, but I ended up taking Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education at the University of Mindanao.

I started working at the age of 19 for BPO companies which marked an extraordinary 11-year expedition filled with growth, challenges, and invaluable experiences. In the year 2018, I started exploring the freelancing world without having any idea what was in store for me. Luckily, I was able to land a job right away without any experience in the field. My perseverance to learn different skills led me to different niches while jumping from one client to another while at the same time learning the ins and outs of the industry. Dedication and a never-ending pursuit of goals helped me survive and taught me how to write blogs and product descriptions, edit images, and take sales calls, customer service, and more.

I found out about Naxum as I was referred by a friend who also works here for an open position. The application process was out of the ordinary and that was when I started to want to be a part of Naxum. Among the core values that struck me the most was the Japanese term “Kaizen” which is viewed as a constant and never-ending improvement. Outside Naxum, I’m a devoted pet lover who shares a home with seven adorable dogs, each one a source of my joy and comfort. One of my favorite pastimes is wakeboarding where I find excitement and adrenaline in gliding across the water’s surface, mastering the art of balance and agility with every ride. My name is Sarosh Khurshid, and I work as a client champion at Naxum. I was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan. From a young age, I have been ambitious about my dreams, which led me to start working early. After completing high school, the Covid-19 pandemic caused the closure of educational institutions. Instead of wasting time at home, I joined a BPO company near my house. This was a significant milestone as I began earning and supporting myself at a young age. My name is Jenilyn Montebon. I am a cum laude graduate from Ateneo de Davao University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. I started my career in the IT Industry on 2013, as a Java developer building and maintaining software solutions involving Point-of-Sales and Multi-branch Retail Systems.

In 2016, I joined NaXum as a Lead Commission Engineer where I was responsible for writing compensation plan documents and developing custom-built commission engines for referral marketing companies. A year after that, I was promoted and became the head of operations of the company. Since then, I had been jumping up in various leadership roles, helping the company gain traction in different aspects of the business.

Currently, I am the company’s President of Technology, leading the Scrum Team VPs in ensuring all milestones and work orders are delivered on time. I serve as the second level of escalation after the VPs, helping remove wastes and resolve TECH and OPS bottlenecks that come our way as a company.

Coding hit me hard. I might sound vague but let me introduce you to my world. Choosing a degree was one of the hardest decisions I had to make after high school graduation. As a person who had no goals, no passion, and no expectations, I had no idea what to take up. One of the “it” courses before was IT. I didn’t know much about it but when I heard that it requires a lot of time on the computer, I didn’t hesitate to take up the course.

At first, I didn’t really take it seriously and all I wanted was to get on with it but something shifted. As an IT student, I learned how to code and run it smoothly without errors. This is the most basic thing to do in IT.

When I first learned how to code and run it without errors, it made me so happy like a child getting even just 3 stars on their first quiz. (Seriously though, who wouldn’t be happy when “Hello World” showed up on the screen?) Because of the excitement, I felt when I first learned how to code, my whole body fired up to learn more about programming. I even dreamt of it.

From someone who had no goals at all, to a person who is now passionate— that’s the effect of programming to me. Programming made me creative, indulged myself in problem-solving, and allowed me to apply all the methods the way I want it. I fell in love with it. Programming gets me excited when the problem requires in-depth thinking. Every time I encounter that kind of problem, I’ll start to stretch and warm-up, and then in my mind, I am like “Alright, bring it on!” It is really satisfying when you run a code without an error. And what’s more, programming teaches you so many ways to solve the problem, with different solutions and possibilities. Ah! I will never get bored with it.

My specialties include quickly adapting to new environments such as learning new skills and programming languages, processing optimization, problem-solving, and code organizing. So far, I have HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery, Bootstrap, C#, Java, PHP, React, Sitecore CMS, .NET, and SQL Programming.

I still have a long way to go and I will try to keep improving myself. I’m also open to learning new languages and acquiring different skills. I still consider myself as someone who has so much more to learn. Modesty aside, with all the knowledge and skills I learned and even with the experience I got from my job, I believe that learning is a continuous process and it can be fun.

Norfelyn or Norf for short is a Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Asian College of Technology in the year 2009. ACT is one of the best IT schools in Cebu. She was a Technical Assistant in ACT not only to be a scholar but at the same time to accelerate her knowledge in programming and gain more skills which she got during the training period in preparation for becoming a TA.

She’s been 13 years in the IT industry in addressing business challenges and meeting the company’s or client’s needs. She began working at Qualfon, a BPO company, as a PHP Developer. After almost six years in Qualfon, she decided to continue her journey in IBM as an Application Developer – Web Technologies for almost four years. She then joined Accenture. While in Accenture, she was invited by her previous colleague to join Naxum. She accepted the challenge and began her NaXum Magical Journey as a CT Engineer on May 2019. On May 2022 she jumps to be the VP of Core-Tech to manage the team accordingly and to help the PT in achieving the company’s goals. She is responsible for leading the Core-Tech team to deliver real NDD results in all their tasks and also to WIN their seats.

Failure is inevitable. One can never fully understand success without going through the pain of regret because of not being able to do what needs to be done to succeed. However, there is always an opportunity to learn from every experience and to make sure that we do not do the same mistakes over and over again. And that is a Core Value that Norf love here in Naxum as it gives us a chance to redeem ourselves from our previous mistakes. My name is Priom Bhowmik and I am from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have completed my graduation from East West University. My major was Computer Science and Engineering. If someone ask me about the best decision in my life, I would say the path of engineering. The story begins when I got admitted to a university and day by day I fall in love with programming. I love writing code. Love competitive programming and problem-solving. Fond of tech components. Ever since I write my first program in C, I have been obsessed with the idea of using software to solve practical problems and to make people’s life easier. After my graduation, I started my internship at a company and gathered my first professional experience in web development. Later joined another company as an associate software engineer and worked on web development using PHP, Laravel framework, and MySQL database.

In both my academic and professional career I have found that programming is fun. You have to enjoy it, you have to love it, and you need a passion for it. Otherwise, it will make you bored.

Although it seems everything goes smoothly, the journey was never that smooth. In my way of that journey, I have seen many ups and down, but I have never broken down. Every time when I reach my limit, I stand still like a stone and surpass myself and explore myself as a new ME in my programming career.

I am a versatile software developer who was once addicted to video games. When I was young, video games have been my passion. Learning how to ace the games and competing with others meant the world to me up until adult life hit me hard. After having a college degree in finance & accounting I started to work in the same field, couldn’t find my passion, and couldn’t enjoy what I was doing therefore, I started my career journey, after trying multiple jobs from working as a financial auditor, sales representative, SEO content writer, and more.

I have learned a lot during those jobs working with different people’s mindsets/backgrounds and meeting some brilliant minds have contributed to my career & personality as it made me more determined to find the career that I wouldn’t save any effort, that I would wake up early at 5 AM to study with no regrets or sorrow about the decisions I have made.

Then things started to brighten when I finally came across the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology code camp scholarship. After remembering how it was fun when I took the IT courses during college I started to study and work hard to win the scholarship and to join the Information Technology Institute. And guess what! I graduated from the University of the Immaculate Conception with a degree in Engineering majoring in Computers. Right after graduation, I was fortunate to be able to start a job at a Telco and Data Center. For 10 years, I have been exposed to different levels of complexity of the Telco and Data Center infrastructure. At the same time, I also lead a group of engineers who caters special projects for a niche market (The power utility sector). With my broad knowledge of network infrastructure, we were able to provide turnkey solutions to several Power and Water utilities nationwide. My love for research and development has brought me to many places in exploring new technologies and ideas that can bring more value to clients.

I joined NaXum to be part of the Information System team in 2017. I was blessed to handle a leadership role where oversee both teams of IS and MobApp (a new team who handles mobile app development). Kayes ensures mobile app work effortlessly without any problems, implementing new features, and developing and maintaining the app and admin panel endpoint. He is from Bangladesh and studied Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at North South University.

Kayes fell in love with programming at a very young age when his brother showed him how people write codes and computers work accordingly. His first programming language was visual basic. His programming journey started with a simple calculator programming project. Soon after, Kayes fell in love with coding and programming and pursued his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering.

Before joining Naxum, Kayes worked as an intern web tool developer. During his internship, he contributed to two major projects in that company. After completing the internship, he got the opportunity to join NaXum to contribute to future NaXum projects and services.

When I’m a kid, I’m always thinking about having a superpower like a superman or batman but how come right? There is no such thing as a superpower but when I discovered games, and blog post and tried to research. It truly amazes how this software is made because in coding and programming we can create literally ANYTHING. This is the closest thing to having a superpower it will be limited to the imagination of the programmer.

That’s why i began this programming journey, I want to add value to those who need it and truly help them automate or SUPER POWER their technology and achieve the best software infrastructure of their organization.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology as a scholar at EARIST Cavite campus where i acquire my fundamental skills and soft skills. It gave me the confidence to innovate and serve my purpose.

I began as a freelancer creating landing page websites, marketing websites based on the clients requirements while also learning new tech stacks along the way. After 3 months of job searching, I finally found employment as a website developer with a BPO firm named DataGen that specializes in data collection and sales. In Datagen, it introduces me on several fields and it honed my skills on how I communicate and negotiate in the corporate world.

I focused on controlling several data structures and filters to clean up all incoming data there. I’m in a new environment, there was struggles but I’m not going to let that intimidate me. I accepted the challenge, paved the road for excellence, and added new tools to my toolbox.

Amoka Abdulmutalib is a full-stack mobile and web application developer known for his outstanding skills in creating efficient and user-friendly applications. Born in Okene, Nigeria, he had a passion for technology from a young age, and he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the field.

After completing his high school education, Amoka started self-learning software development. After two years of practice, he was contracted by a high school to develop an electronic examination system. He pursued a National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at the Kogi State Polytechnic, School of Engineering Itakpe. After graduating from the polytechnic, Amoka secured his first job as a Computer Engineer at a technology firm in Abuja. Here, he honed his skills and gained experience in building web applications using popular technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React. He also developed mobile applications using React Native.

With his experience and passion for technology, he quickly rose through the ranks at the firm, and within a few years, he became the Manager of the Computer Department. His projects included creating an e-store manager and a mobile application for task management.

My name is Joemarie Biñas. I hold a degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and I am a web developer. I love and enjoy work that challenges me to learn something new and venture out in a different direction. Naxum is the first IT company I have worked with and I am looking forward to more fruitful years here. I have been in this company for more than 6 years now and looking back, I can see how NaXum transformed my life in so many ways. I started as a Customer Support and was later promoted to UX Designer. My journey as a UX designer ended when the management saw potential in me and moved me to the Coretech Team. I was both driven and self-motivated when I was a CT Engineer. I am passionate about my seat and strived hard to improve myself. However, there are really things that won’t work the way you wanted them because you were up for something better. I have challenged myself every day. I strived through the pain and push myself to level up. But as they say, in order to get where you want, you must do what you haven’t done. Take the risks and do what is the unknown. I have used my fear as a great motivation to push myself to the next level. I took the challenge and embrace my journey as I now serve my co-design team as their new VP.

As VP of design, I am accountable for the high-output management of the Design Team across all boards from the 0-24s, Milestones, Work Orders, Skills, and Rocks. I inspire and develop our Designers to become 10X seniors, holding them accountable to WOW standards to deliver real results by the due dates required to serve the company goals.

Be Accountable and Take Ownership. It is important that we are all clear about our roles and responsibilities. We always have to care about the outcome because it will reflect on us. Taking responsibility for our actions is taking the initiative to deliver more than what is expected from us. We should know how to respond to every situation by looking at how we can do it rather than explaining why it can’t be done.

Nothing is ever more satisfying than seeing how satisfied your customer is and to achieve that, we just need to deliver our ARTwork 10X more than their expectation. We can always meet customers’ expectations. That’s for sure but the question is, how much quality is there in our output? Do we satisfy our customers or do we just deliver because it is required and what they need? The quality of our artwork and services determines the quality of our collective effort as a team and as a company in general. The amount of effort we give in to serve our client is double the amount of trust they will invest in us so the more trust we can build, the more clients we can get.

Arman R. Udarbe is an adventurous and creative guy who loved to explore things that he hasn’t discovered yet. He studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at the University of Southeastern Philippines and at Holy Child College of Davao where he transferred and graduated. Arman loves to do both Designing and Programming.

He’s been working for about 6 years in the Design and Technology industry. He kicked off his career at The Royal Mandaya Hotel way back in 2017. Which is known to be one of the prestigious hotels in his hometown in Davao City. He worked as a Graphic Designer producing creative and fun marketing paraphernalia. And works as an IT Administrative Assistant as well in the same company where he is also responsible for assisting each internal department and client regarding software and hardware-related problems.

After more than 1 year of giving his best gifts and skills to contribute to the company’s growth, he departed from the company and took the opportunity to work abroad to continue his dream and grow. He then applied to Wblue Technologies & Services which suits his skills best and got hired as a Graphic Designer. He then strives to share his creative gifts and ideas with the company until he got the opportunity to be part of the Front-End Developer. After more than 2 years working in the company he’s contract got expired and decided to come back home to the Philippines.

These experiences helped him a lot to hone his skills and knowledge and enabled him to become a better Designer and Front-End Developer. But of course, that didn’t stop him from opening another door of opportunity as he believes that there is still room for improvement in his abilities, and that’s when he decided to apply at NaXum to become a better version of what he is.

Cris has a Degree in Information Technology. She kicks off her career as an operation officer/Social Media Manager and was responsible for designing and posting assets on social media networks, and handling customers’ orders and concerns in a local Virtual solutions company in Davao City.

In October 2017, she then joined NaXum as a client champion then was promoted to UI Designer, and Jumped to a higher seat; UX Designer. 5 years later, she become part of the leadership team as the Technical Production Manager of UI/UX Design. The UI/UX team specializes in the overall website designs of NaXum’s Platform and it’s Cris’ responsibility to guardrail the team’s ARTwork by making sure only high-quality designs and Don’t make me think web pages will pass the quality assurance and we’re being forwarded to the clients.

Even so with this achievement, success is nonlinear. Cris has a fair share of experiencing the uncomfortable truth about upskilling and growth can be very confusing and scary, but in a lot of ways, it’s immensely satisfying.

NaXum has changed the way how Cris look at things in life. What she loves most about the culture is the Kaizen; a never-ending improvement. Kaizen has transformed Cris completely from who she was before. It was this core value that let her discover her true self and realizes her potential is infinite. You could say that Chris was an artist from birth, originating from a family of artists. His father is an artist and Chris has been a multi-award-winning artist since his childhood. During his adolescence, Chris expanded his interests to Graphic Design and followed this as his career path, also developing skills and talents in photography and videography.

Chris studied at the University of the Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Painting. Post School, he pursued his Graphic Design career as an Apparel designer with Artwork Inc., a leading T-shirt and apparel brand for youth and teens in the Philippines. Chris stayed in the company for 6 years, moving quickly through roles through promotion to Store Designer, Photographer and then the Design Lead for the Company.

After 6 wonderful years with Artwork, Chris went back to his hometown and landed a job as a Design Lead for Bloodred Inc., a British company specializes in technical sailing apparel. He designed products and researched and developed new products.

Chris’ expansive nature led him to pursue a more ambitious role, and he was appointed as the Senior Graphic Designer and Lead Designer for Ripe Concepts in the Special Projects Department, working for “The A List” clients including Walt Disney, Bandai, Toyota, fisher-Price, Warner Bros. and etc. His areas of focus were Graphic Design, product design, video animation, video editing and web design.

In subsequent years Chris became a freelancer and supported start-up projects like Revia PH, Qube Gallery, and other local and international brands. During that time Chris was not only involved in Graphic Design but also in branding, web design, app design, video animation, video editing, photo editing and photography.

Chris has also ventured to teaching working as a part time College Instructor in University of the Philippines in Graphic Design. He is also involved in social and voluntary work as an Art Teacher, teaching unfortunate kids in Bagong Dahon Foundation and Pandoo Foundation and other social welfare. He continues to offer free silkscreen printing workshops for different rural schools, foundations and livelihood organizations.

Chris is an outdoor guy and enjoys the sea especially the beach and the mountains. He also loves mountain biking, mountaineering, trekking and fishing. His main sport is soccer.

My name is Segun Oloto. A talented designer, and a self-taught digital product designer who combines User Interface (UI), User Experience (UX), Visual, and Interaction Design skills in creating user-first products. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria, and a background in Graphics and Web Design with over 6years of work experience before I transitioned into Product Design. My transition into product design was Bourne out of my love for tackling problems at the intersection of design and technology. I started my tech career before joining the college by studying web development techniques and android development through E-learning. I worked as a Full-Stack Developer and I am using different programming languages and frameworks for both backend and frontend development in addition to having a good background in UI/UX design using several designing tools as well.

I grew up in a family that has an entrepreneurial mindset which affects me positively to always thinking out of the box and catching opportunities and trying different fields of work like Marketing, Advertising, and even Graphic design, obviously, this mix of experiences helped me a lot to understand more about business and my current tech career.

My name is Rey Mark A. Abao, a graduate of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines with a degree in Information Technology. I started my career as a junior software developer in Cagayan de Oro City. After 2 solid years of experience, I decided to take advantage of my skills and bring my talent to the big city, Metro Cebu. There I worked for a Japanese company and one thing that I really liked was the challenge of communicating with the client candidly despite the language barrier. I was so eager to learn new things that it led me to jump to a start-up company with promising skills to learn.

Yes, I did learn modern programming technologies, which gave me the advantage of being a member of the Naxum team. Now, with constant knowledge acquisition, I rose up to the ranks and became the team’s VP of Commissions.

My leadership journey is a new level in my career that allows me to become accountable for the output of the team. With this, I ensure that our team is performing at its highest level to deliver a 100% working web application. With my long years of experience as a web developer and my attitude of always speaking up and leaning in if there is any room for improvement, my goal is to lead the company in building Commission Engines that deliver WOW and drive growth to our clients and their members’ lives.

One thing that I am deeply attached to among Naxum’s core values is “Be Humble.” Great things start with a humble heart.

I use my knowledge to teach and assist others to become independent so they could find their own ways to succeed. I believe life is not about how far you can go, but about how many lives you touch and what kind of impact you create

Mark Vincent Ayo, is a graduate of Ateneo de Davao University with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Began his career working as a freelance developer and worked for a stock feed company Inventory Systems together with his classmates in college. He then worked for a company with web-based home health and hospice software solutions for almost 4 years as a migration coordinator, which is tasked to fix data anomalies, create SQL scripts, migrate data and maintain databases using MS SQL Server.

In 2018, Mark joined NaXum and is now part of the Commission team. He recently jumped to a new seat and is now a VP of Commissions since March 2022. As the new VP, Mark is accountable for the high-output tech management of the Commissions Team’s tasks, which include inspiring and leading the right people to deliver real NDD results to serve NaXum’s company goals. In his new leadership seat, Mark is grateful to have had talented mentors from other team leaders, from whom he has learned a lot.

As I have read in an article “Your comfort zone is a beautiful thing, but you will never grow there”, this makes us reflect on the things that we wanted to do but afraid to take action. We may tell ourselves that being in that situation might be uncomfortable, but this may actually be an opportunity. An opportunity to learn a new skill and try new things. It may be a risk to take but being out of your comfort zone is where the magic happens. There is this quote from a podcast channel where a successful man said “To fight fear, act. To increase fear, wait.”

I make it a habit to make time for my physical wellness, knowing that my work consists of sitting for long hours and facing the computer. My hobbies consist of playing basketball, badminton, frisbee, going trekking, practicing karate-do, and trying a new sport. One recent sport that I tried and enjoyed is boxing. These physical activities help me reduce stress and increase my overall health and well-being. I also love spending quality time with family and friends.

I am a graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I began my career working as a freelance full-stack web developer before joining a company as a full-time backend developer.

After working for almost 5 years with that company, I quit and became a freelancer again before joining Naxum. I am incredibly happy working for Naxum as I can already see not only my skills as a developer improving but also my personal growth and living standards improving massively.

When one decides not to change and improve along as time progresses, they would soon be washed away and forgotten. What I love about Naxum is the work culture. Naxum is one of the few companies that are truly interested in their staff’s work and personal life. My name is Marwan Muhammad, a Commission Engineer at NaXum. I was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. Growing up, I am always interested in computers which led me to pursue a career in software engineering. After graduating from High School, I earned a degree in Computer Science. During my time in college, I had the opportunity to learn about software engineering and computer science. It helps me develop my skills and gain valuable experience in my field. As a Commission Engineer, I am responsible for developing back-end code with PHP programming language and Laravel framework.

I am a graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. My professional journey began as a sales supervisor in a retail sales store (supermarket). During my tenure as a sales supervisor, I developed a keen interest in IT infrastructure and tech support, which prompted me to take relevant courses in the field. This proactive approach to learning and self-improvement led to my promotion to the IT department as an IT officer. After a year of dedicated service and continuous learning, I was further promoted to the position of IT Manager.

After about three years at the supermarket, I decided to fully transition into the software industry. I took up the role of Associate Engineer at Decagon, where I honed my software development skills and gained valuable experience in the tech industry. Following my time at Decagon, I moved to a fintech company, Bankly (5554 Technologies) in Lagos, and subsequently to One Pipe Financial Services. Each of these roles provided me with unique opportunities to grow and contribute to the ever-evolving tech landscape.

My name is Quadri. ⁤⁤I graduated from the Federal University of Technology in Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea that you write some jargon on your computer and your computer will do cool stuffs, even though we couldn’t afford one. So I made a promise to myself to learn which was hindered by the absence of a computer system in our house. seeing other people do it cool but doing it yourself is so much fun. I love it. Although I started coding 7 years, I didn’t give it my 100% because of my side jobs. For the past 5 years I’ve been on it full time learning new programming languages and perfecting the ones I already know.

My name is Abd-Elrahman Mohamed. I was born and raised in Alexandira, Egypt. I am a Pharmacy graduate and after working as a pharmacist in the pharmaceutical field, I decided to make a significant career shift into software programming. From my journey as a pharmacist, I learned to take attention to details as it gives me the ability to learn new concepts quickly. With that, I am eager to apply what I learned in my work here at NaXum as a software developer.

I also enjoy reading in my free time as it is very important for me to constantly develop myself, so I enjoy reading in various topics. Spending time with my family is very crucial as it provides me with the emotional support and refuels my energy. I am also a football fan and enjoy watching football games.

I am Vincent Paul Ponteras, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at University of San Jose-Recoletos. I also finished Commercial Arts vocational course.

I am a System Administrator and also a Web Developer but I am more focused on System Administration. I manage UNIX and Windows based systems on most of the job roles as I love doing those kinds of tasks. Very challenging, yet very rewarding. Before NaXum, I was an IT Team Lead for a contact center company. My duties and responsibilities were to monitor the servers and develop tools for the team and for the users. I also coach and mentor my team members so they can be efficient with their tasks.

I joined NaXum on October 2020 as a Server Admin. With the skills and years of experience, I just recently jumped as the VP of Information Systems of NaXum.

As VP of Information Systems, it is my responsibility to have our systems secure and operational. Have our systems up to date with the latest technologies and to catch up with the fast evolving systems.

I love drawing as it calms me down and relieves any stress that I have. I love drawing for a number of reasons; for the challenge, for the joy of expression, for the feeling of pride with my artwork, for the sense of creation that is mine, for the excitement I feel when I get obsessed with a drawing. Many of my favorite drawings have come from finding an image that I want to make my own. This may take the form of an image I’ve come across that I love or a photo I’ve taken. Most certainly, drawing helps me when I get the blues. In different times in my life when I wasn’t doing much creativity, the introduction or reintroduction of drawing made a huge difference in my life. I also love reading articles about new technologies and innovations.

One of my favorite hobby is cycling. It’s healthy and environmentally friendly. I love the cool breeze hitting my legs on a brisk cycle on a hot Summer days. It’s faster and more enjoyable than walking but as much effective. I enjoy doing bike races with my friends. I nearly come first all the time but I manage to refrain myself from being smug about it! I love biking on the trails, with many trees like you are lost in the middle of nowhere.

I am Ahmed Bahnasy, a graduate of the Bachelor of Communication and Electronics Engineering at Alexandria University in Egypt.

Working as a System administrator is a passion for me. I feel great to be the reason for a secure, stable, and high-performance system. The challenge to solve any problem for clients as fast as possible to make his business stable is a big challenge and I’m really excited to have this challenge.

I worked as a freelancer for more than 3 years, but I feel great to be a member of this great family here in NaXum.

HOBBIES

I love to do some sports every day. I believe it’s very helpful to clear my mind and make me feel better and able to give more to my work and refresh my mind: Working out, going to the gym lifting weights, or go for swimming. Even though I only do walking inhaling fresh air, it is very important to me every day to have a good day.

I also love to play with Electronics given the fact that I’m a graduate of Electronics and Communication but not as much as I love System Admin.

So, designing some PCBs is a favorite hobby for me. I use this hobby to make anything smart like the Internet Of Things (IOT) So I can have my life smarter and easier.

Spending time with my family is one of my hobbies that makes me happy and satisfied. This helps me to reduce stress and anxiety, leads me to a healthier lifestyle, and makes me enjoy my life. My family gives me the motivation to be the best version of myself. Every weekend, I spend most of the day with my family talking, playing, or reading some useful books.

“He who has the will to live can live with anyhow” has been Phoebe’s guiding principle. Poverty and her vision to help others pushed her to make her own map of where she is right now.

Phoebe is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of San Jose-Recoletos. She has 4 years of work experience in the BPO industry, and 1 year as an HR staff. She was in her Master’s class in Clinical Psychology when she discovered NaXum and applied as a Client Champ. She successfully joined the team’s Client Support team in 2019 and then became the company’s first HR Champ in February 2020.

Two years later, on November 2022, Phoebe took over the role of the Vice President of Human Resources and Finance ensuring that NaXum has the RIGHT People to serve NaXum’s WHY. She needs to make sure that the people working in the company are aligned with the company’s culture and has the right skill set for each seat.

As she ventures into her new role, she is on a mission to lead the team not by giving them fish but by teaching them how to fish. Tough love is hard and painful since it requires discipline. However, Phoebe believes these are necessary for positive growth. As one of her professors in college, Dr. Rosada, reminds her: “Curse me now, thank me later.“

Be Accountable and Take Ownership is Phoebe’s most valuable Core Value as she believes that it starts with being accountable for the rest of the core values to happen. When you take extreme ownership, you learn to focus on solving problems and provide better solutions instead of blaming others.

One thing she wished during her childhood is to be mentored and guided on how to live a meaningful life. For her, living a meaningful life is about going all the way to serve one’s purpose. NaXum’s Kaizen culture, with the mentorship of Rodd Kirby, the company’s Chief Visionary Officer and owner of NaXum, has shaped her to become a better version of herself today and she is on a personal mission to pay it forward.

Phoebe is a mom of two (the 7 years old boy and the 8 months baby girl) as of the year 2022. She is an advocate of breastfeeding after gaining her knowledge of breastfeeding during her prenatal classes. Even if she has a full-time position at NaXum, she still manages to make sure that no formula will be fed to her daughter which she failed to do to her firstborn.

With the help of Kaizen and the Work-Life integration culture, she makes sure that no matter how full her workload is at home and at work, she can still find time for leisure by doing the things she loves like shooting sports, going on rides to the beach or mountain, reading random books, listening to audiobooks, and cooking.

Anne went to Davao Doctor’s College and took up B.S in Nursing. She has 8 years of experience in the BPO industry doing Customer Service and Technical Support related tasks. She then decided to apply as a Quality Assurance and later applied her QA skills in ESL industry for 4 years. Her entrance with NaXum was through referral by her husband and got interested in joining the company by Naxum’s Core Value, as she wanted to sharpen her skill in the tech side by applying for the Client Champion seat.

A year after learning and enjoying her Client Champ seat, she then applied for a Promote from Within jump, the HR Champ seat. Being on the HR Team gave her a deeper understanding of NaXum’s Core Value and Culture by protecting the company’s NOS and by sharing her part of responsibilities with the HR Team.

She’s a firm believer of NaXum’s WHY and culture and live by the Core Value, Be humble – “You can see it when a teammate has no ego and is always willing to lend a hand to teach or assist. Many of you can think of this as the old biblical saying “Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you”. Even during her Client Champ days, Anne’s WHY is her passion to serve people. To her, serving others prepares us to lead others, at the same time making sure that the company culture is protected.

Her hobbies are cooking, watching documentary films, and reading personal growth books. Right now with NaXum, her love for learning about her strengths and weaknesses is her top priority and she makes sure her children never go unknowledgeable about discovering their inner GIFTS just as how she learned it in NaXum.

Part of the HR Champ seat’s responsibility is conducting quick orientation meetings with potential candidates. This is where Anne and her fellow HR champs share a quick overview of the company and the wonderful opportunities NaXum has. She put emphasis on sharing the company’s Core Value, Kaizen – It means Constant and Never Ending Improvement, as each of us is bound to make mistakes but we are never limited to growing and learning from our mistakes. When you are truly passionate about what you do, challenges are inevitable in a constant and growing culture and we must never stop by having to experience one, but rather use that challenge to overcome your weakness and discover your strengths.

To Anne, being in the HR seat is not easy as one may think, as you are expected to set an example to the team. I graduated from Ateneo de Davao University with a Bachelor of Business Management. For seven months, I worked as technical support at a BPO company. After that, I was employed as a customer service officer for over 4 years at one of Apple’s authorized service providers in the Philippines. I have gained a lot of knowledge from my expertise in resolving client complaints, troubleshooting issues, and offering excellent customer service. I’ve had a part-time job as an email supporter for a small Canadian business, where my main responsibilities are processing orders, creating estimates, and handling refunds. I do this in addition to my full-time job as a customer service officer. When we learned that my mother had chronic kidney disease in 2021, I returned home and started my own business. However, I eventually quit since I had to keep closing it to go with my mother to her dialysis appointments. Following that, I began looking for a work-from-home opportunity. I was introduced to Naxum by a friend and was shortly accepted as a Client Champ. My primary responsibilities for about six months have been writing user stories for our engineers in response to the challenges and needs of our clients, attending meetings, and delivering 10X results. Last July 2022, Naxum announced an opportunity to fill an open seat. I quickly submitted my application without hesitation. My proposal was approved within a few days, and I am now appointed as an HR Hunter. My job is to look for 10X candidates to be part of our team and recommend them to our HR team for a quick introduction to Naxum and what we do as a team.

Kaizen: Constant and Never-ending Improvement is my favorite core value. We must constantly aim for greatness and never be contented with mediocrity or complacency. Finding the meaning and purpose of our lives may be greatly aided by learning new things, which can also increase our self-esteem and confidence. Albert Einstein famously remarked, “Once you stop learning, you start dying”. As a result, we should never cease bettering ourselves.

What I love about Naxum is giving us the opportunity to grow and improve by allowing us to listen to audiobooks. It enables us to refresh our minds and learn ideas that we can also apply in our daily tasks. Naxum encourages us to get out of our comfort zones, experience the uncomfortable, and embrace the unknown. If you really want to be successful, you must face your fears and live without limits.

“To share products and services they care deeply about” This line impresses me because it shows that Naxum cares about more than just its own profit and self-interest. It also shows that Naxum wants to help other businesses develop and prosper by utilizing Naxum’s best platforms and resources, so they’d get to experience the magical power of referral marketing.

I spend most of my spare time with my mother and my kid. We occasionally visit shopping centers and buy them the items they want. When we are solely at home, I mostly use Basecamp to do the tasks I need to accomplish before the due date or, if there are none, I study with my son to help him learn new knowledge in order for him to get ready for school.

She started her career as a customer service representative in a financial account. This was when her communication skills were honed and her self-confidence was first boosted. She was given the chance to become a college instructor at the very same school she finished her degree. It was a tremendous and fulfilling duty but one that required a master’s degree, which she could not provide by then due to financial concerns. Since she loves to live her life to the fullest, she tried her hand working abroad as a Sales Coordinator hoping to find her own niche where she can live and work altogether with passion. It was her breakthrough as she needed to get out of her shell to be challenged and grow more. As life is full of surprises, after almost two years of working abroad, she went back to her motherland to be with her family and to build her own as well. This experience helped her to grow as an individual, take risks and go out and see how the world offers unending opportunities. NaXum becomes her redemption and where she found the perfect seat to learn new skill sets and challenged herself to become more. She was successfully promoted as an HR Champ after serving her seat as a Client Champ within a year. She took the leap of faith as she wants to give more to her family and see what more she can offer to the company’s success. She is very passionate about her current seat as an HR Champ who protects the company’s culture and looks for the right “WHO” to be part of the team. For her, every day is God’s blessing to extend and show how wonderful life is by giving your best towards your work and personal concerns.

Yen always believes in the saying: “Don’t settle for what life gives you; make life better and build something.” There is no time to settle as we are capable of doing more of what we are expected. She is looking forward to more possibilities and embraces them.

She also loves doing household chores and making sure everything is organized. Her “ME” time includes enjoying some tea with some favorite movies and series from Netflix and Youtube. Before she ends her day, it is one of her habits to write down in her journal.

A woman with a big heart and big dreams – that’s how the people dear to her name her. Ricah Angela O. Baguio, grew up with so much passion and commitment in her heart. She is a graduate from Ateneo de Davao University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management. Throughout her years in the academe, she has shown perseverance and passion in everything that she does. She aimed nothing but the best for herself and she’s been actively participating in her organization (JPMAP)’s activities. With a heart for people and excellence, she was able to graduate with flying colors, as a Cum Laude. With the support she had from her family, close friends, and their dedicated college faculty, she made it on top..

Ricah believes that learning should never stop – that’s why, she decided to pursue her Master’s degree in Public Administration. Just this May 2022, she made it once more to complete her studies.

Way back in 2016, she landed her first job in a government agency as a clerk then was later promoted as the Social Insurance Officer III of the agency’s marketing department. In early 2021, she decided to pursue another path which is in freelancing. She started off working on clerical tasks which includes research and typing job. As an HR Champ, she conducts Hello NaXum meetings with aspiring candidates, attends finance review calls, facilitates speed closures for G-Doc documentation, and drafts content for Global Announcement within the team. In her more than 1 year with NaXum, she has grown her perspective in a positive way. She’s most passionate about protecting the culture in the company and in ensuring that we find the right person for the right seat.

My name is Marrie Abegail Bacalso and I go by the nickname Abby, born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines. I studied Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing in Benedicto College located here in my hometown.

My work as a customer service representative started back in 2011 with a business outsourcing company. From 2011 to 2018 and up until the start of my new job as a client champ with NaXum, I freelanced for e-commerce businesses.

Having worked as a customer service representative for 8 years has given me the experience and abilities to deal with clients, customers, and even employers while assisting with practically all kinds of enquiries.

Throughout my work as a customer service representative, I have dealt with practically all conceivable goods and services. From household goods, car radios, subscriptions, and every product you see in your home, business, school, and elsewhere, to online herbal treatments.

When I made the switch to freelancing, all my clients were in the e-commerce sector, and similar to my CSR employment, I’ve worked with all kinds of product you can imagine. I helped with back-end tasks as well as email tickets, web sales, order processing, and tracking services. I also contributed to the creation of a system for new employees and of templates that enabled the resolution of 300 tickets in less than 4 hours. I’m pleased to say that when I switched to freelancing, I discovered a lot about who I am and what I am capable of.

And now, here I am, starting a brand-new career in the world with NaXum. I’m eager to hone and pick up new abilities as I get to know my new family, and I look forward to passing along everything I’ve learned. I am and always will be a work in progress, and I can’t wait to work with NaXum to continue creating a wonderful and exciting personal and professional life.

I am thrilled to see the eyes of each participant as they not only begin to believe the success that is possible for themselves but also the success that their team can now enjoy.

WHY!

I love the ‘Unleashing The Power Of Referral Marketing’ line. I’ve witnessed this magic first hand, first through my sister’s success in the industry in her early 20’s and my personal success as an independent distributor. We earned more money then we imagined was possible and it changed our family’s entire outlook on what was possible in our lives.

It is experiences like these that make it all worth it. Everyone on the planet has the ability to create the future they desire in referral marketing. These are real skills that anyone can learn to create the family life, time freedom, and income they desire.

The second part of “Gamify Your Life” speaks to the excitement that comes from helping others WIN at the game of life. So many times, people make success or earning income more complicated then it needs to be. A mentor of mine once shared that if anyone ever wanted to earn more income all they need to do is look at how much value they are creating in the marketplace. Value becomes the vacuum that brings money to them as a natural law. HOBBIES

When I’m not serving the team my hobbies revolve around my family and my church. My wife and I enjoy time with our daughter, cooking, playing, and creating memories. In our church, I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to play drums on my worship band for over 20 years. Today my wife serves with me as an accomplished pianist.

A Mass Communication graduate from Ateneo de Davao University, Necta wrote digital content as a freelance writer for over three years before jumping into the software industry in 2018. She first worked for NaXum delivering WOW as a Client Champion while part-timing as the team’s Human Resources Manager. She then rose to the rank of Client Production Manager and ultimately, as the company’s full-time VP of Human Resources & Finance wherein she was accountable for filling the NaXum team with bright creative minds who are strongly aligned to the company’s Why, Core Values, and ‘North Stars’.

As head of people and culture, Necta took pride in implementing processes that best supported the team and client’s welfare, as well as NaXum’s mission and goals. She was the lead integrator behind some of the company’s key processes including NaXum’s launch guidelines, team scorecards, and the staple NaXum team performance tracker dubbed the Greatness Document (G-Doc).

Necta now works as the President of Operations of NaXum spearheading the whole team in providing a wow-quality platform and successful launches in collaboration with the President of Technology, Jenilyn Montebon. She remains committed to making NaXum a reliable business partner for its clients and a dream work environment for creative minds alike.

Necta learned the value of dedication and life of service at an early age growing up in Davao City, Philippines as the third child of a children’s rights advocate. Her late mother co-founded a non-profit that works in partnership with street children, wherein she often tagged along as a kid. She carried the same interest in inspiring others and enriching lives through stories as a Photojournalist in her university’s school paper Atenews. She then finished her senior year as one of the most outstanding student journalists of her batch.

Now, she mothers a beautiful 8-year-old boy and a cute Beagle whom she draws her daily strength and inspiration from. She paints, explores the outdoors, and listens to the Korean boy band BTS to destress. She also enjoys reading books and learning new things, embodying the company’s Core Value of Kaizen (constant and never-ending improvement).

Necta believes there are endless things to learn every day. For her, it does not matter how slow of a learner one is. What matters is the willingness to stretch and go beyond the comfort zone for the world has so much greatness and success to offer. They are out there only waiting for us to find them. A few of her favorite Kaizen mentors are Ryan Holiday, Jim Rohn, and Tim Grover, among others.

Her philosophy in life: There is good in everything only if we look for it. As Sir Holiday perfectly said in the book The Obstacle is the Way: “We don't get to choose what happens to us, but we can always choose how we feel about it. If the event must ever occur, Amor Fati is the best response… Love it, be grateful for it because it's all fuel… In overcoming them, we emerge stronger, sharper, and empowered.”
